MAIN HEADING: Auto Insurance Transparency and Accountability Expert Reports

The Auto Insurance Transparency and Accountability Expert Reports are a key element of the government's Cost and Rate Reduction Strategy.

The government has retained an independent third party to provide annual Auto Insurance Transparency and Accountability Expert Reports to assess the impact of auto insurance reforms introduced to date on both costs and premiums. The reports also review industry costs and changes to premiums paid by Ontario drivers, and where appropriate, provide recommendations as to further actions that may be required to meet the government’s reduction target.

An interim report was delivered in April 2014, and annual reports will be delivered in the fall of each year of the Cost and Rate Reduction Strategy.
