  • Preparing more people for jobs through skills and literacy training opportunities and through the new Ontario Student Grant.
  • Helping more than 6,000 internationally trained professionals each year secure employment in regulated professions and other high-skilled jobs.
  • Creating jobs in clean tech as part of the fight against climate change.

BUILDING ONTARIO UP FOR GOOD JOBS

Ontario has recovered all the jobs lost during the recession and the unemployment rate is at an eight-year low.

Ontario’s economic growth outpaced Canada’s in 2014 and 2015, and 68,000 net new jobs are expected to be created this year. Private-sector economists expect Ontario will continue to be a growth leader over the next two years.
