Ministry of Finance |
March 19, 2010
Dear Treasurer/Clerk-Treasurer:
I am writing to advise you of the status of the 2008 Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund (OMPF) following receipt of final social program and policing cost data.
The Ministry of Finance has now completed the final reconciliation of the 2008 OMPF. While this process has not resulted in an additional payment for your municipality, I hope that the attached 2008 reconciliation information will be useful for your records.
The 2008 OMPF reconciliation reflects final 2008 data for:
The 2008 Final Reconciliation – 2008 Allocation Notice for your municipality is enclosed. This is the final 2008 reconciliation. There will be no further reconciliation of the 2008 OMPF.
No municipality will see a decrease in its 2008 OMPF allocation as a result of the final reconciliation.
The Ministry of Finance is currently finalizing both the 2008 OMPF Social Program Costs Reports and Municipal Workbooks. These supporting documents will be distributed to municipalities within the coming weeks.
I would also like to remind you that, as in previous years, municipalities are required to submit the following to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH):
Failure to meet these reporting requirements may result in the withholding of 2010 and subsequent OMPF payments until these documents have been provided to the province.
If you require additional information regarding your 2008 OMPF final allocation, you may contact your local Municipal Services Office of the MMAH, or e-mail your inquiries and your contact phone number to: info.ompf@ontario.ca.
Sincerely,
Sriram Subrahmanyan
Assistant Deputy Minister
